Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and new to the state (just moved here right before Memorial Day weekend). Here's my timeline thus far:

5/27/15 - moved to the great state of Texas
6/18/15 - submitted CHL application online and received email confirmation
6/20/15 - fingerprints
6/21/15 - CHL class
6/22/15 - submitted CHL-100 form online and received email confirmation

And I thought waiting for my Texas driver's was painful lol!!!

Well, you know how screen names go...I've always had Glocks and at one point had six. Now I only have my 23 (.40S&W), but also have a Kimber Ultra CDP .45, and my new HK VP40 LE and HK 45 Tactical. But GlockKimberH&K would be a complex screen name!

Still waiting, but hope for receipt soon as it seems many who have submitted at approximately the same time are receiving there's. I suspect the out-of-state check has something to do with the "delay", keeping in mind that they have "60 days" to issue.

Nice to meet you Winsum. I came from New Jersey (super unfriendly firearm state). You basically have to be a god to get a chl there, in addition to applying for permits to purchase ammunition/gun and get a license to even own a gun. So I never bothered to even apply until I came here. Can't believe how long of a wait you've been enduring, hopefully you'll see the light at the end of the tunnel soon.

7/13/15 - Plastic in hand. - No status update on the website yet ... and that is the one thing that I kept trying to use as a reference. However, I do have my new Texas DL # memorized now.
