I carry a full size 1911 all day every day. I have an IWB, a belt holster and a paddle for it. All conceal great. I carry it at 3-4 o’clock. I drive with it there and NEVER have any problems at all. By far my favorite carry gun!

Re: 1911 question
I carry a 3.5 inch Kimber and a 5 inch Dan Wesson. With no problem. But I am 6' 2" and about 240 so no prblem for me.
Re: 1911 question
i also carry a full size kimber customer 2 all day everyday, when i can at least. i carry in a milt sparks versa max 2 holster iwb, which is very comfortable. I actually prefer to carry this because it is more comfortable to carry than my kahr pm45 in a dome hume holster! i always prefer a 5 in barrel over the smaller 1911 also if you talk to gunsmith, 5 inchers tend to be more reliable and less finicky than the small versions

Re: 1911 question
I use a 1.5" wilderness and a 1.25" leather belt. Either work well, but the leather is a heavy bridle leather and holds very well. Quality makes a huge difference. Of course the VMII works great with both.Zee wrote:I've only recenlty learned this to be true but a good wide belt can make the difference. The same average holster seems tons better with a 1.5" belt vs a slimmer one. It seems to spread the weight out and keep things anchored. The belt is a good place to get some all around benefit for a fixed price.

Crossbreed supertuck with my Taurus 1991 worked without a hitch on my first public outing. ;)
