Walmart to pick up a few boxes of 9mm.
Range with son and his girlfriend to shoot said boxes of 9mm, along with some .22.
Home again, home again.

Re: Where did you carry today....
Did a quick "Wally-World" run today and have a whole new perspective and respect for mom's of toddlers! I had my 18month old nephew with me today. I realized the additional hurdles having a small child adds to carrying. One hip already occupied, extra "stuff" to carry, shuffle and deal with - the toddler himself is a huge distraction from situational awareness, and occupies so much time getting into and out of the car! More power to ya' ladies - you make me proud. I guess with time and practice I would learn new coping skills, but the impromptu plunge I took today into toddler wrangler was definitely eye opening.

Isn't the baseball tournament against the rules? I think that counts as a "sporting event"tamc9395 wrote:12/1/12 - At the house, Home Depot, baseball tournament, local restuarant....

When I was stationed at Ft. Stewart, Georgia we had a random 100% barracks and vehicle inspections one Monday. The vehicle inspections were done with dogs I had a 12 round magazine of 40 S&W in the center console left over from the range (I lived off post). Dog didn't hit, thank god or that would have been some quick UCMJ.
As for today's carry adventure: Tax office for vehicle registration, Sprouts Produce Market, Kroger, Wally World for baby formula, and of course the house.

The "sporting event" has to be high school, collegiate, or professional. City leagues or little league aren't.HenryAKirk wrote:Isn't the baseball tournament against the rules? The PC for reference, PC 46.035(b)(2) says,
on the premises where a high school, collegiate, or professional sporting event or interscholastic event is taking place, unless the license holder is a participant in the event and a handgun is used in the event;

I don't understand hospitals. Politics, government and religion I get. And the USPS, I don't go there because I am afraid of them. But a hospital, kind of strange. Anyway, on with the story. My wife worked at a hospital and their employee policy prohibited carry. She was always envious when I'd walk in with mine on and she had to leave her carry in the car.jayinsat wrote:Lucky! Re: Where did you carry today....
I carried everywhere i went today, just like i always do.
However, last night, the missus and i went to a Japanese hibachi grill. We thought we may have a little bit of sake with our meal, so i left the Glock in the trunk. After we went in, i decided it wasn't worth being in a crowded room unarmed. Made a quick trip back out the car and holstered back up. I hate feeling 'naked'.
