1. NW is NOT nevessarily the same as COP (Citizens on Patrol).
2. Zimmerman was not "patrolling" the area. He was on his way to the grocery store when he noticed the suspicious person.
3. Being a member of NW does not preclude a licensed person from legally carrying a gun during his normal daily routine.
This supposition is trumped up to give the appearance that Zimmerman was doing something unusual or even "against the rules" by carrying his handgun that night. It is bogus on its face.
I participate in my neighborhood watch and I carry my handgun on my person everywhere it is legal to do so.
