wife and I got ours in this morning. All day yesterday the line wait was about an hour.... mid-morning today we only had about 30 minute wait. Since my wife it the election judge for our box, we always take advantage of the chance to early vote. Probably a good thing for her this time around, especially if the turnout is as big as expected on the 6th.

I love the "one button" approach..... just wish it was like shampoo...rinse and repeat :mrgreen:

I hope you're in a county where one button was enough and there was no need to vote against more economic BONDage.

Bump.!

So many Americans have given deeply of themselves to secure our right to vote.
Our revolutionary founders, our military, suffrage and civil rights leaders. Some gave All.
Please honor them today by making sure your vote is cast. :patriot:

Pasco County Florida reports election results hourly as election day progresses.
FWIW, George Bush LOST the county by 1% to Al Gore. John McCain won by 3% over Obama.
As of 3:PM (local time, about an hour ago) CNN is reporting that Mitt Romney is ahead in Pasco County, FL by 10%.

Obviously this is a miniscule sample.

I'm not seeing numerical results posted here: http://www.pascovotes.com/results.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
But I'm sure about the above numbers reported on CNN about 15 minutes ago.

Hopefully that 7% change from 2008 holds true nationally.

<crystal ball>Romney 310 - Obama 228.</crystal ball>

My ballot has been cast. On paper...not only did I mark the straight party box because that is the way I feel about this, but I also marked the box to indicate my choice for President/Vice President, just so there wouldn't be any guesswork. I also voted NO for a ballot to raise a tax-supported bond for the school system...seems like the school has an awful lot of administrators...if they need more teachers, they need to take a hard look at how many non-teachers they have on the payroll FIRST before asking for more money.

I was so proud when I walked up to vote, handed over my ID, and when I went to sign in I saw where my oldest child had voted in her first Presidential election! I almost cried. She is very patriotic, and very proud to be American. Made my heart swell! She texted me when she was done, but I was busy with work, and it didn't really sink in until I saw her signature right below her Daddy's! :tiphat:

Wasn't there some discussion in another thread (the SJL thread, I believe) indicting that ballots on which both "straight ticket" and individual races would be considered invalid?

We went to the Jacksonville Library today to pick up James Lee Burke's latest book. The Jacksonville Library is also a voting place. The voter numbers we observed earlier in the week and even last week were much greater than were observed today.

What does that portend? I dunno'. :headscratch I suspect a nationwide voter turnout of biblical proportions is taking place. Everybody has a dog in this hunt. Oh well, this time tomorrow, we'll know how many bullets to buy. :roll:
