Hi my fellow applicationers. I mailed my application in June. Just wanted to say that when you get your pin don't do like me and check it all the time. It will make you crazy Ps. just checked again same thing" processing application"..

I got my registered mail delivery confirmation back yesterday. About how long untill I get a PIN?

!! days for me to receive DPS letter with PIN from the day I mailed in the application. Here's my timeline so far...

Took class: 8-16-08
Mailed: 8-18-08, 1:00 pm
CHL Austin USPS confirmation delivered: 8-20-08, 9:29 am
CFP Utah USPS confirmation delivered: 8-21-08, 11:01 am
DPS letter with PIN received: 8-29-08
PROCESSING APPLICATION...

Well folks, I am leaving the waiting room, received my plastic today

07/10/2008 - Class taken
07/16/2008 - DPS received packet
08/08/2008 - Pin mailed
08/26/2008 - Application Completed - license issued or certificate active.
08/28/2008 - License arrived in the mail.

Good luck to everyone else may the speed in processing continue. 07/10/2008 - Class taken

That would sure be nice. I have been practicing and have been MUCH more comfortable with the Keltec p11 with belt clip than the XD40sc and crossbreeed superstuck. I blame the love handles that I'm working on.

Got my pin # in the mail today! Yay!!! Now I just have to make sure I don't go crazy checking it ever hour of every day!

About the license in 20 days....... I would love to have that luck!

how is it possible for this person to get theirs in 20 days when there are many people waiting over 100 days? Lucky for them but the gotta pull the lead out!

Hit another milestone today and received my pin #. As of Sept 4th my application is processing.

Looks like I'll be joining the milestone group ~ finally got the PIN in the mail (I was begining to wonder why you all had got yours but I still had not) ~ so now I'm officially "Processing Application" as well.

Now if I can just put it out of my mind until Thanksgiving I may be good.....how do I do that though

Hey everyone,
Brand new, and this looked like a good place to land. I sent my app in on Aug 11 and they've been processing it every since. Funny thing today; went to get the mail and there was an envelope from DPS! It even had a card in it that I could feel! I was jumping for joy until I opened it and realized that it was my wife's replacement driver's license. Oh well, looks like I have good company in here.

Hello again all ~ I've been on vacation for the last week and haven't had a chance to review the forum. I was surprised to log on today and see that the last post was on 9/10.....come on guys ~ I need updates ~ has anyone got their plastic yet (I don't think so but I thought I'd ask)....anyone have any info on current processing times....anyone .....anyone....I logged back into the DPS website today and I'm still "processing application" which was frustrating. Any new would be great.

Hey all... stopping in to say hi I guess.

The GF and I took our class on Aug 22. Mailed it in the 23rd.... we both got our PIN letters Sept 2nd saying they began processing our apps on Aug 28th..... so the wait is on!!!

Took the weekend off for a parent's weekend trip, but checked again this morning; still proccessing application. Talked to a trooper in Kansas this weekend (in a restaurant, not pulled over), and he said although the wait in Kansas is long, they kind of joke about the wait in Texas. He was pro-chl!
