The Andy Griffith Show
...wiser words were never spoken...when I was a cop, I usually didn't wear my seatbelt either...bailing out with a shotgun in one hand and light in another kinda didn't work with a seatbelt...and as far as cops speeding, violating other traffic laws to do what they do...they get a pass from me with one exception...alcohol...then I'm for hanging them...but having been on midnights for so many years, I know you can move through traffic much faster w/o lights/siren...better for them to say "What was that?!!!" than for them to slam on the brakes in front of me 'cause their mead-muddled mind doesn't react well...and cops eat, drink, and take their 10-100s at the mercy of the radio...so what, how, and if they get their nourishment is not bothering me...if you see one endangering life to get to a soft drink...you have options...but if you're looking back down the tunnel of life waiting for one to show up, you don't critique their driving too much...
...we all appreciate a break...cops are no different...
