When your pull out your pictures on your phone and you show pictures of your guns instead of your family. Guilty
I was showing pictures of my AR15 build, muzzle break, Eotech mount, rail system, etc. One of the girls I work with said "ok, you have 10 pictures of your gun, 4 pictures of your car, where are the pictures of your family?"

Having no pics of my kids or wife on the phone, I simply responded "It is a RIFLE, not a GUN"

I guess I showed her.

I used to cut the pictures carefully out of gun magazines - I quickly learned (after the application of some chastisement to my stern) only to do that after dad had had a chance to read them first  - and pasted them into my "gun scrapbooks" with all the relevant data carefully printed underneath - weight, length, height, magazine capacity, caliber, etc - so I could pore over them again and again.

I don't know how many books I made, but I think my mom still has them :)
ha! when I was young, my friends and I were REALLY into supersoakers. Not the little ones they have now, but the old school stuff like the XP & CPS series. We all had small to large arsenals, stocked back water balloons, I had pictures of them on the walls in my room...

Took me until I was a bit older to start doing the same thing with guns. "rlol"

If you see a picture of a fully striped 1911 and you start reassembling it in your head yoooouuuuu might be a gun nut.

You see your picture with the letters VIP under it at guns stores you have never been into before.
How do you explain a dog named Sauer without first telling the story of a Puppy named Sig?

Has anyone ever bought a gun, then tried to hide it from family/significant other?
Or lied about it!?!

How many guns are in your "secret" stash?

At the moment 1

I haven't lied about it or tried to hide it I just haven't mentioned it yet. Funny part is she has seen it, she isn't real into guns so she doesn't know the difference between my pistols. Don't worry i'm working on getting her into guns, its just a slow process.

None...I want my wife to know where all the guns are, how to use them, and how to access them.

If anything, I've fibbed on a "purpose" for a gun, but my wife is a good sport about it and looks forward to shooting each and every one.

When by the age of 6 you can tell your dad what every part to a 1911 is and its function.
When at the age of 6 you can say you have shot a .22, .410, .40 and .45!
When at the age of 6 you shoot the .45 and your eyes light up, you have a grin from ear to ear and you look at your dad and exclaim "I want to do it again!"

All my daughter.

No secret stash, only me and my father know the code to my safe. The better half dont have a clue exactly how many are in there. She knows where hers is and where the ones hid around the house are and how to use those.
