Wally Walk

Did my Wally Walk this past Sunday and well it was completely uneventful. It did feel like everyone was staring at me and knew I was carrying but nothing happened and I'm sure I was just being paranoid. I was breaking in my new Crossbreed supertuck deluxe IWB holster and must say it was very uncomfortable. Kept poking me in the leg and I was walking mighty funny by the time I was done lol. Anyway have since figured out how to adjust it and adjusted the cant plus let it ride a little lower and I love it now. It is very comfortable and I can wear it all day and forget its there. Highly recommend the holster but give it a fair chance to break in and play around with different carrying positions and whatnot. Anyhow my Wally Walk was just as boring as everyone elses I have read. Felt a little uncomfortable at first but I'm getting used to it now. Definitely makes you more aware of whats going on around you.

Definitly gets easier each time you go out. I remember my first time, same thing was quite nervous. Now its like normal going out with a gun. Plus my wife got me some nice long button up shirts for Christmas, that helps. I do feel more comfortable with my sigma 9mm than my 1911 45, maybe its the weight.

LOL yes the nachos. Well neither of our Wally Worlds have nachos. We have a McDonalds so I had to substitute a nice double quarter pounder with cheese. Hope that was sloppy enough. It definitely does get easier. Now that I have the holster riding lower and with more of a cant to it I really don't print at all. I just had it riding way to high for me to be comfortable that day. I'm pretty hefty so don't really have a problem hiding much of anything but it needs to ride nice and low hehe. The more comfortable it feels the less it feels like everyone is staring at you.

My first time as I entered the store a guy in a wheelchair was right behind me, I thought "oh no he is eye level with my hip and gun", of course he probably didnt see a thing.

He's slowly getting used to the concept. He received his plastic a little over a month ago.

We arrived at our apt this evening at the same time. He noticed men sitting in a parked truck a distance from us, and asked if I would give him my gun. I replied, "Get your own."

My wife and I have discussed "Engaging a group of attackers with no available cover" and pretty much agree that it would be best if one of us fire to slidelock then the other shooter engages while first shooter reloads. The problem is who gets to engage first. I argue for whoever presents first (I can outdraw her by a significant margin due to frequent IDPA (and practical using my carry gear) practice) while she states that a Gentleman always allows a Lady to go first.
