Good Evening:
I am currently a new member to this forum and CHL altogether; however, I have been a gun enthusiast for a long time and a close friend of 2nd amendment for even longer. My father recommended this forum to me, so I know I will learn a lot and be able to discus topics and policy with likeminded individuals. I live in Grand Prairie, TX and work in North Dallas (Richardson). I hope that I will be able to further my understanding and education about gun issues, safety and CHL rules and regulations. I look forward to hearing from new and experienced members. Thank you.

How great a friend of the second amendment are you?
No better time than now to put you in the spotlight!

Thanks for the welcome. I think I am up the task of answering your questions. I am a friend of the whole Constitution, and live by its true meaning (including the 2nd amendment), not by how others interpret it or tell us, what it means. I think the founding fathers were very clear. Thomas Jefferson put it best when he said "On every question of construction [of the Constitution] let us carry ourselves back to the time when the Constitution was adopted, recollect the spirit manifested in the debates, and instead of trying what meaning may be squeezed out of the text, or invented against it, conform to the probable one in which it was passed. As for the 2nd amendment, I put my college education in jeopardy many times defending the meaning, studying, and learning the 2nd amendment. I also encouraged other classmates to stand up against those professors who were or are left of center, and to voice their support for this great document, along with supporting, donating and being part of other 2nd amendment organizations. Now that I am pursuing higher degrees, I will continue to learn more and continue to put my studies to use to make sure all free Americans have the right to protect themselves, loved ones and property. Well I could go on, but I hope that this has somewhat answered your question. I am sorry for the length, but the Constitution and its subject matter is very dear to me. I think I am really going to enjoy this forum. Once again, anygunanywhere, thanks for the comment and I look forward to talking with you again.
Very respectfully,
Bogey 51

Welcome.
You'll learn a lot here, but it looks like you search out knowledge for yourself anyway, so you will likely have plenty to share as well.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you all know (I posted this in the "waiting room", but if you don't read that thread here it is again) that I just got in, about 2 hours ago, from completing my first CHL class. It was a well ran class and I enjoyed the time I spent there. Take care. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Oh, don't forget to set your clocks up an hour!
Respectfully,
