What about "Hugs"

#1

Post by Judge »

I've been CHL certified since Texas 1st passed the law. I carry regularly.

How many times have you been to a "Function" or out to dinner and had the friendly hug from a person of the opposite sex and get that startled look?

Then to watch them tell their spouse/mate later in a whisper.

In my family eveyone knows I'm probably carriyng so I just get the hug and a smile reaction.

BTW, 3 0' clock position.

Sorry guys, I ment to hit the 4....The 4 -5 oclock position.

Funny, if you think about it.

Just always go low on your 3-oclock side when the hug comes, that'll force them to go high :)

Agree w/ the above or left side hug & R. elbow should cover your weapon. I pastor a Godly Huggy Church. Many carry there. The vast majority of the members know I do too. For them if they touch it never bothers them. Visitors never know.
I carry at 3:00 too. my elbow covers it even when I carry my 1911. Admit that at church my most often carry is an SP101. That is a dream to cover & protect. :thumbs2:

I get and give a lot of hugs. I'm left handed, so I just go in left arm down and right arm up, which seems to work OK for most everyone else. A small number of friends know I carry, and so it's not really an issue with them.

Hugs? I thought they were frisking me!

I go to a very huggy church and I haven't been made yet. If they are hugging anywhere near the waist line my 'proximity monitor' goes off ans she usually blames me. The scary part is, even if the proxmity monitor isn't in the same room.....she knows! :nono:
