Hot car & Ammo
So, you go to an establishment and you find that you cannot carry. You walk your handgun back to the car and lock it up. We are all in Texas and we know how hot it is during the summer. Is there any danger in putting your loaded handgun in the car in the heat?

Re: Hot car & Ammo
Just that it might burn your hand when you pick it up later.
Temperatures in a car, even in the middle of a Texas summer, will not approach those needed to touch off the ammo.

Re: Hot car & Ammo
I never had rounds pop-off overseas (Okinawa or Afghanistan) in a hot vehicle. I consider it very unlikely.

The 120 - 140 degrees in your car is nowhere near hot enough to harm either gun or ammo.
