Never seen it, but it looks like a good cheap replacement for a JE Allen stock if you don't want to spend another grand.

I think you'll get what you pay for. The basic stock from J Allen costs $599.00. The Archangel is a ripoff of that one, and there is no way that it can be as well made or improve accuracy as much as the J Allen stock. The JAE-100 GEN 3 Precision Rifle Stock for the M1A / M14 has an overmolded body built around an aluminum chassis that eliminates any bedding concerns. Granted, the extra features cost more, but if I had the money for that, I'd spend it in a heartbeat to upgrade my M1A

Here is the URL to J. Allen: http://www.jallenenterprises.com/index.html

I was looking at the J Allen a while back for a Socom 16. It was hard for me to justify spending as much on a chassis as the gun cost. I like the looks of this but would also like to see more reviews. They have it on MidwayUsa with a review, M14forum.com has a lengthy discussion about it, and here is a video Review

I didn't realize the JAE-100 had gone down in price so much, last time I looked the basic model was closer to $800. I think calling it a "ripoff" is not really fair, lots of manufacturers make simular accessories and firearms. I wouldn't call a RIA 1911 a "ripoff" of a Colt 1911 just because it is cheaper.

I agree on the rip-off statement. It is cheaper but for obvious reasons. There is no aluminum spine/frame on the Archangel stock so I'm sure its lighter and more flimsy. Not to say it doesn't do the job, but I'm sure there are noticeable differences in build quality, weight, flexibility, and ergonomics from the JE Allen model. It looks like a budget friendly imitation. I don't think it would improve accuracy at all over the standard chassis at all. Just ergonomics and looks maybe.

I ordered the stock last week, and finally have it installed, it's not a true drop in fit as I had to do a little inletting on it, mostly trimmings around mold lines, I have to say it is one cool looking stock, no it's not an JAE, or a sage or a troy, it's a promag, since noone else seems to own one I'll post up range reports, and pictures...Steve

I'm interested in this one. I just got my scout/squad and this may be one of the new things to get for it.
