Joe Straus supporters list??
I'm actually very satisfied with my State Rep and he has the NRA endorsement.
But I was wondering if there was a source to find a list of those who keep electing Straus as Speaker.
If my Rep is one, I might seriously consider a conservative newcomer.

Good list. I sent my rep a message saying because of his vote for Strous, he will not get my vote in the primary.

Re: Joe Straus supporters list??
I appreciate the list.
Guess I'll be voting for the newcomer.
Sad because my Rep has been on the right side of everything else that mattered to me.

Unfortunately King is my rep and he is one of strauss' s enablers, so I will vote for his opponent!

If Sylvester Turner was the opponent then Straus was overwhelmingly the lesser of two evils. We need a conservative to challenge.

Sylvester Turner was in the 84th. He resigned to run for mayor of Houston. He is now inflicting his damage on the city.

Re: Joe Straus supporters list??
You are correct. Since I did not see him listed in the roster of the 84th. Legislature, I didn't dig deeper. I should have....mojo84 wrote:Sylvester Turner was in the 84th. He's listed on page 22(voting results) of the House Journal Proceedings of the First Day, of January 13, 2015:

And my condolences for Houston.

My rep Bill Zedler voted correctly and as such received my vote again.

I've asked King about this; it was more fun talking to my dog about gravitational waves. At least she (my dog) understood.crazy2medic wrote:Unfortunately King is my rep and he is one of strauss' s enablers, so I will vote for his opponent!
