Re: Tired of Cornyn?
I did read in the news this morning that the gap between Paxton and Cornyn is narrowing. Cornyn's lead is down to about 5%. I suspect Paxton could pull ahead of Cornyn if he'd spiff up his marketing and public image.

Re: Tired of Cornyn?
Problem is, Cornyn sells well. I don't see Paxton doing anything competitive with this....

Re: Too Good to be True
Same here. I use FB to keep up with some old friends, my high school class, etc. Now you can click on a post ("more....") or in your messages you get something like "So-and-so sent you a message..." and whammo, you get a total computer takeover - "your computer has been infected! Re: CJ Grisham is at it again
CJ is clearly a confrontational dude. Wow. But he's correct in citing 46.15 (5), which renders the firearms restrictions unapplicable to a retired LEO who has a Certificate of Proficiency. I assume he does, since he's quoting the citation that specifies it:

Re: Parkland survivor David Hogg-circular firing squad
Imagine AOC for P, Hogg for VP. What's even more appalling is that there are tens of millions of people out there who would vote for them.

Re: What is going on w/recent posts
I'm not an expert on this, but maybe they hacked into Charles's account, and thus are able to "self-approve"....
What's unbelievable is the idea that somebody is actually going to go sign up for an online casino because of one of those posts!

Re: What is going on w/recent posts
Yeah, phpBB definitely has a setting where the forum owner has to approve new members before they can join in and post. Since we're not really approving many (if any at all), this would be a good way to stop them. Just a thought.

Re: What is going on w/recent posts
I hope we can get it under control. I was on a forum once that was completely destroyed by bots; some advertising bot selling cheap athletic shoes was making 50-100 posts a day, while the actual discussion normally only got 2 or 3 posts a day. The site finally had to shut down.

Re: Beware and be aware Facebook ad Palmetto State Armory "Clearance sale"
Yeah, I'm seeing more and more "too good to be true" Facebook ads that, when you click on them, take over your computer with those full-screen "your computer has been infected!!!" scams.

Re: Parkland survivor David Hogg-trolling
Talk about gravy trains. I just learned that Hogg's speaking fees are $10,000 to $30,000. He also has his own PAC which pays him a salary of about $4,000 per month, gives lectures at Harvard, and other stuff. What a deal. Just "be there" when something big happens, and you can make a career out of ...
