If you have time, drive over to Erie County PA and get a PA non-resident license before you go. You can get in and out of the sheriff office in about 30 minutes with license in hand.
It is seriously that easy to get a permit in Pennsylvania? What am I missing here?

Thank you all for the great tips and response.

Yes, I could get a pa non resident license, but with the move happening so quick, just didn't get time.

Glad the shotgun is ok on the lakes there, never had any issues on lake Erie with DHS folks...

Thanks apostate for reply's. On the last one, both the lakes I am going to fish on are COE lakes (grapevine and lewisville).. Does that mean no loaded firearms on them? With or without chl?

Hey folks..been lurking on this site for a few weeks, great info. I will be moving family to Dallas from Cleveland, Ohio in the next few days and need some confirmation here on a few things:
1) since my Ohio chl is not recognized in Texas, as I understand it, And until i register for a tx chl class ...
