Re: Is this a "professional sports event"?
I can't find ANYWHERE the players don't get paid. Where does it say that?
Thanks! :banghead:
They would lose their NCAA Collegiate status if they got paid and would be ineligible to play in college the next year.
I just sent an email to the league. If they reply, I will post their answer here ...

Re: Repeal the 30.06 law
Oldgringo posted a good example. Keep the wording just get rid of the force of law part. If someone is found carrying they are asked to leave. If they don't then they can get a citation. It is that simple. As I said it is not the end of the world if the sign doesn't carry the weight of law. If you ...

Re: Finally
Applied on May 5, 2014, and checked online and via phone yesterday (6/5/2014). My app is received, waiting for required paperwork. I asked what paperwork. Lady said the paperwork I sent in has not yet been input by data processing and that takes 30-45 days. She said after that the additional ...

Re: Chl in Church
My instructor said it is ok to carry in a church, but also said you can carry at the local university. After conferring with a local LEO, he looking it up, he said it would not be prudent to carry on campus due to the way the regs were written.

From the TXDPS website under FAQ. You can't carry in a church. Anyone have anything different? Or is DPS wrong on the website?

How do I check my status [Split from DPS Updates]
I applied May 5 and was told previously by my CHL instructor there is no way to see online of your status. It seems from reading posts here that there is a way. How is it done? Thanks!
