Re: Lack of backstop in CHL 'class'!

I'm thinking there may be a possibility of a CHL Instructor that may be incapacitated for some reason and having a "buddy" do the class and the real instructor just signs the CHL-100's.

This would explain how the Sheriff determined the "instructor" at the site was not licensed.

Of course this is illegal, but stranger things have been brought to light before. :banghead:

I have done a bit of research and come up with 3 names of instructors in the area of Whitesboro. One is well known and has a gun shop in the town and I know him to be on the up and up.

The other two appear to be not well known and have a very small web presence.

I will not post any of their names unless I find more about this and if I narrow it down to the culprit. :thumbs2:

Re: Lack of backstop in CHL 'class'!

I am up in this area. I would like to know what the "Instructor's" name is. If anyone finds out, please let me know.

FYI, the biggest CHL Training (Licensed) in this County is Red River Firearms in Sherman. And the majority of the Instructors are LEO's and the classes use the excellent indoor range at the Business.

So, it seems strange to me that there is someone "teaching" somewhere in a "field". And if they were, how long do they expect to continue if they are not a Licensed Instructor? The first class of fraudulent CHL-100's would be the last!
