I did do a search and came up with conflicting opinions, some say that it is well worth it for peice of mind while others are against it and say to just have a local trusted attorney on retainer while others ...

Ok here's where I'm at. Turned in all my paperwork while back, don't remember exact date. Fast forward to last Friday and I now have choice to change mailing address and etc, does that mean my CHL has already been processed and should be in mail soon? :txflag:

What is the general opinion on the services provided by [Pre-paid legal service]? Is it a legit outfit? And do others on this site suscribe to their service and or recommend it? It seems to me to be a good idea to have something like it, or an attorney on retainer for "just in case".

Happy to report that as of 800 this morning I have the option to make changes online!

I think mine might be taking longer because I've lived and worked in 4 different counties in the last 5 years. Maybe that's causing the background check to take longer than others who started around my time and have already received their plastic...

I'm in the same boat, spent 4 of the last 10 ...

Still waiting from September... So far nothing recieved in the mail, and no status change. Getting a little anxious as I see others in my time frame already receiving plastic.

How long after submitting documents did everybody else get confirmations? Do you only get the confirmation after ALL info is in or after the chl-100?

May be time for a phone call.
