Today my plastic was in the mail! I applied and submitted all documents on 9/11 and have plastic in hand on 10/21. Not bad. God bless the Constitution, God bless freedom, and God bless TEXAS!

I called two weeks after my paperwork was submitted and was told that they didn't have my CHL100. I was put on hold and they found it five minutes later. It appears to be a common problem.

Does anyone know where, geographically the plastic is mailed from? Austin?

I called DPS this morning and a gentleman named Vincent told me that my license was printed and is being mailed today!
I received my confirmation of all documents received on 9/13 and it is being mailed today on 10/15. Not too shabby.

Greenbeer, what day did you get confirmation that all of your documents were received by DPS, and do you know when your background check started? I received my confirmation of documents received on 9/13 and I jut spoke to DPS on 10/9 and was told that they just started my background check that day.
