Seabear,
Great job and thanks for getting the 30.06 sign removed.
Seabear is spot on.
Please, not all of us are willing to jump into the line of fire to help others. If in the effort to protect me and mine, I happen to help others great, but I'm not a police officer mandated to save the public ...

Re: Fort Worth Mayfest
I think the legally required text for 30.06 and 30.07 signs should include something like "This sign is not valid for use on government owned property".
:iagree: except I would change it in part to read: This sign is not valid for use on government owned or leased property.

Re: Not so hypothetical question regarding right to defend...
What time of day is this hypothetical happening ? It does make the difference for the use of deadly force as I understand it.
Where is this written? I hear it now and then, but I've never seen a law that says you can only shoot at night.

Re: Ft. Worth Zoo Update
Those people really think they are clever. :smilelol5:
My typical assumption is that they want to make the SJW feel good with a sign, but not really have anything enforceable. Finding the needed wording/text type is easy, modifying it takes deliberate action. I think that is what is going on here.

Is it even a properly worded sign? I do notice now after reading this thread that they like to use the term "amusement ride" on the lower one.

Right or wrong , I would not recommend removing the wristband if open carrying in the event they might have trained other officers to use that as their primary threat assessment for visible guns.

I don't know why specifically this, but this sure has me fired up
I would guess that it is because a City government is circumventing the intent of State law. Especially when you step back and ponder what the original question was that this is trying to solve, and does does it really accomplish ...

I think they change every day. I've seen red, green and the latest was pink. Each with Fort Worth and the NATO circle cross mark repeating around the band.goose wrote:
Only slightly more seriously, do they change the colors every day?

It was OWB but concealed with a jacket. Assume it was for all evil people of carry, as I saw two other bands and no guns prior to this.chasfm11 wrote:Is this for OC or CC or for both? It would be interesting that you are CC and have the wrist band on.

That was my first thoughts.
What will they do if you cut it off. My second thought, just after saying "no, I will not put that on". Someone said they will not wear it and the Marshals said they couldn't come in then.

I haven't heard about this anywhere. Is this for any carry? Or just OC? Are there metal detectors? If this is true, what is the purpose of the ledger and wrist bands?

File a complaint with who? Is it legal to begin with.
