Re: Best Austin-area CHL class
His stories about their repo-yard in Florida? Those were the best.

Re: Best Austin-area CHL class
Thanks for the info. Anyone have an opinion on Ross Bransford's class (http://www.chl-texas.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)? It was recommended by a friend, though he has only used him one time.

Best Austin-area CHL class
Looking to get a large group of my friends certified. I took my course in 2005 and enjoyed my instructor, but thought I'd ask what other people thought of theirs--in the Austin/Travis county area, that is. Anything helps.

New job... new carry troubles...
I'm interviewing for an internship on Monday afternoon, and I've been told this office doesn't hire interns to joke around; this is essentially a probationary hiring that will most likely lead to a job. Sorry for ranting, it's exciting for an about-to-be college grad. Anyway, I've got a problem ...

Re: Pictures Of Your Daily Carry
My new XD 9 Sub-compact. Have 300 flawless rounds through it so far. I love it!!! Still waiting on my CHL (108 days now :waiting: ) but plan to carry the XD IWB with a Crossbreed Supertuck.
Good for you. I'm glad you're so excited about your XD's success, but that's just the tip of the iceberg ...

Re: "30 Days" Season 3, Episode 5 - "Gun Nation"
In all fairness...Morgan Spurlock ( I assume he is liberal minded ) allows the episodes to go in the direction the guests take them. My wife and I are avid viewers of "30 Days" and thouroughly enjoyed "Supersize Me". A lot of people have this preconceived notion that ALL documentary film makers ...

Re: "30 Days" Season 3, Episode 5 - "Gun Nation"
In other scenes she states explicitly that she thinks of the horror of people being killed EVERY TIME she hears a gunshot.
It's terrible that I would laugh when reading this, but I am reminded of this scene. Even worse, I'm quite sure she said the sound of gunshot made here think of a baby being ...

Re: "30 Days" Season 3, Episode 5 - "Gun Nation"
I have never watched that show until tonight, and I had a preconceived idea of how this situation would turn out. Wow! Was I wrong!
I found this episode to be remarkably unbiased in its presentation.
You two watched it in an open minded manner. Congratulations. It amazes--and saddens--me how ...

"30 Days" Season 3, Episode 5 - "Gun Nation"
If you're not familiar with FX's "30 Days" from Morgan Spurlock ("Super Size Me"), this is the nutshell description: An unscripted, documentary-style program where an individual is inserted into a lifestyle that is completely different from his or her upbringing, beliefs, religion or profession for ...

Re: Do we have a catch phrase/motto/saying??
I like the Molon Labe idea.
You could get a lapel pin with the phrase "Molon Labe", written in Greek that could be worn in a lapel or on a hat.

Do we have a catch phrase/motto/saying??
In class today, our nutjob/liberal professor (from Australia) went off on how white men are propagating all the violence and murder in this country with "their incessant need to have too many guns". A guy down in the front row went off on her with a barrage of facts that really knocked the wind out ...
