Re: Drones
I doubt it. I mean, they can make a rule, but it would have no authority over someone who didn’t live in the HOA. Also, if the HOA president gave you a hard time about it, you could take a lesson from the Ukrainians.

Re: My mom passed away
Thanks to everyone for your prayers. My brothers got her apartment emptied and its contents into storage. Her celebration of life is tentatively scheduled for January 9th, at the Caltech Atheneum, where she was a professor.

My mom passed away
My mother finally passed away yesterday morning, around 7am California time. She was 100 years old, and would have made 101 on December 8th if she had lasted that long. I’m actually doing ok, other than it seems weird to type or speak the words "my mother has died." I’m sure I’ll grieve her loss at ...

Re: In today's times............
No changes. There’s always something going on in the world.
What he said.
What i carry depends on where I’m going, and how long I plan to be gone. What might change is maybe getting back to putting some kind of long gun in the car if I’m going to be far from home for a while.

The Four Boxes Diner has a good explanation for why we have to be careful which cases to litigate to remove SBRs and suppressors from the NFA.

Re: California bans Glocks
Really? Ban just Glocks? What reason, a public emergency? All murders in CA with just Glocks? Extra scary looking?
It's a reaction to "glock switches." I kid you not….They think that the Glock pistol is a machine gun because you can hack it with a switch. It hasn't occurred to them yet that it's ...

Re: Walking stick or walking cane?
Happy early birthday. And no offense but those look like something that if I didn't know better I'd believe was going to slither up and bite me. :)
None taken! They do look a little like something that might bite, don’t they? Mine is rustic, but not quite as coarse as the ones in that ...

Re: Weird signage
Not a lawyer, but I would think combining signage that is dictated to be verbatim by legislation wouldn't be enforceable. They are separate PC codes and I've never seen a 30.06 and 30.07 sign combination. Maybe srothstein will chime in. BTW I messaged you on Facebook about Firearm Policy Coalition ...

I just turned 73 on Sunday, my brother from another mother. My motto is "I do what I want."LDB415 wrote: Mon Oct 06, 2025 10:54 pm I would ignore such a sign since the verbiage is not what the law requires. But that's just me and I'm old and cranky and not a good example to follow.
