Civil lawsuits are not uncommon after a shooting, not all of the time, but enough to be given serious consideration.
My CHL instructor said that in Texas you weren't usually found civilly liable, but that just the lawyer fees and such averaged $18,000.

Does "school" mean only inside the buildings or does it also include the parking lot and outside grounds? For example, East Field Community College has a walking/jogging track for public use. I wish Texas would come up with a "castle doctrine" simular to Florida(Allthough many of our laws are already the same), as far as preventing civil suits against people who have leagally defended thier lives with a gun.

Ranges in Paris, Texas?
When I lived in Paris loooong years ago, we could shoot at the National Guard range at Camp Maxey. Does anyone know if this range is still available to the public or if there are any other ranges in the area?
