Re: Texans can now get Illinois Non-resident CCL.
Yeah, same email at his security company.
I e-mailed him again and this time got a reply. I thought he may have been gone because I got no response the first time and the web site he listed on the previous e-mails does not work. www.tforcepss.com
I also got replies from the two up by Dallas ...

Re: Texans can now get Illinois Non-resident CCL.
Mine is up for renewal and I just exchanged emails with Antione Turner in Houston.
Hmm... I never got a reply and the website he was associated with is gone. He is the one that did my original IL licence which is why I was trying him again. Guess I will try again. Same e-mail as listed on the ...

Re: Texans can now get Illinois Non-resident CCL.
Thanks. I had emailed them but have not received a reply yet. The one up by Austin is also not available at this time. The guy is out of the country.

Re: Quick renewal question
My question was more about what day they use for the 6 months. Going by the exact day (i.e. the 15th), I should have been able to start the process several days ago, but it still does not give me that option, only to apply for instructor. So I was wondering if they go by calendar month instead, and ...

Re: Quick renewal question
Yes, I know that. I am just under a bit of a time constraint because I will be out of the area for some time later in the year and wanted to get the ball rolling as soon as possible.

Re: Texans can now get Illinois Non-resident CCL.
Thanks. I know the Houston one is not valid anymore. I will try the Austin <cringe> one.

Quick renewal question
It says you can start the renewal process 6 months before expiration. Do they go by the exact expiration date or calendar month? For example, let's say mine expires on Jan 15th, can I start the process on 16 July or 1 Aug? I am hoping it is the latter because it is not giving me the option going by ...

Re: Texans can now get Illinois Non-resident CCL.
I know this is an old thread, but I had gotten my IL non-resident licence back in 2018 and it is coming up for renewal next year. I did the course through a place in Houston last time (I am near San Antonio), but it seems they are no longer in business. Anyone know of another place here in TX that ...

Re: CHL (LTC) Renewal Question
FWIW, I was able to renew on line about 6 days after the 6 months out had come up. I got the notice in the mail a few days after that. I received the renewal LTC today. So just under 3 weeks from when I did the on-line thing. Also, all I have on file are the old ink fingerprints, but they apparently ...

Re: CHL (LTC) Renewal Question
FWIW, I called today because it still does not give me the option to renew on line. I was told that you have to wait until you get the renewal notice AND that it could be anywhere between 5 and 6 months before it's the renewal that it is sent out. In other words, you can't automatically do it on ...

Re: CHL (LTC) Renewal Question
I was just going to ask this same question (no option to renew), but I am actually under the 6 months by a couple of days. Guess I will try again in a few days.

Re: Bill: HB 2009. No more Hunter ed for vets
Wow, I didn't even know there was a hunter education course.
I had to Google it to find that people born before Sept 2, 1971 are exempt.

Re: SB 16 - priority bill, reduction of LTC fees
I filed for renewal less than two weeks ago (as soon as I entered the six month window). I'm a veteran so HB16 doesn't impact me but I suspect a number of people who are up for renewal OR are doing the initial, are waiting until Sept 1. I hope you can get it within 60 days if apply after Sept 1 ...

Re: SB 16 - priority bill, reduction of LTC fees
So do seniors pay the $40.00 or the $5.00 as listed here?
SECTION 6. Section 411.195, Government Code, is amended to read as follows:
Sec. 411.195. REDUCTION OF CERTAIN FEES FOR SENIOR CITIZENS. Notwithstanding any other provision of this subchapter, if an applicant for the license is 60 years of ...
