Re: Meanwhile, over at the 3006 site...
Ah! Caught me sleeping. I knew of that provision in reference to places of worship because I had THAT argument with a friend who'd earned his CHL some time before I did. And I've brought it to the attention of many friends who hold CHLs. I'm in church twice a week but rarely in a hospital so I guess ...

Meanwhile, over at the 3006 site...
Was looking at the map on Texas3006.com (as most here probably know, the map pinpoints locations identified by users where 30.06 signs - or attempts at 30.06 signs - are posted across the State).
I noticed a LOT of the locations were hospitals. Section 46.035 (b) (4) of the Penal Code says (in part ...

Mich. boy, 12, killed by gun being cleaned by dad NO! A thousand times........NO!

Keith B & Longtooth,
Thank you both for the factual replies. I had no experience other than revolvers and M-16s prior to purchasing the SW40VE so I didn't notice the "quality" of the trigger pull. FWIW it is a LOT better than my son's Kel Tec 9 mil - the pull on that is, IM V HO, ridiculous.

Being the new guy on campus I appreciate that there is a forum where some of the seasoned veterans can help us newbies learn the ropes. How did we every get along without the online community.
:iagree: Exactly my sentiments as I read through this slightly older thread and so many others. I thank ...

I agree - every single range I've visited this century has the two-second rule.
Um... that'd be one range, BTW.

Re: Never going to QUAIL CREEK again!
Blu Hog - I understand your position, but there have been a few forum members who have contacted Quail Creek to complain. From what has been posted in this and other threads, Quail Creek has not responded to any of the complaints. Based on zero feedback, most people seem to think that the owners of ...

Welcome! You and your wife are a couple steps ahead of me & mine. We still need to schedule the class. Hard to fit into our overcrowded weekends. She's still looking for a carry weapon, as well.
Enjoy the forum - I've found tons of very useful info here.

Re: Store owner turns tables on robbers
A beautiful thing to watch!
It appeared, however, that the one guy on the right near the exit (which evidently automatically locked - HA!) was trying to surrender early on. But the good news is the PPD has already watched this and determined it was a righteous shoot so all's well in the Valley of ...

Re: La Marque, garden spot of Galveston County
Hmmm... lemme see here - I can obey company rules and get mugged and/or killed - or I can defy that rule, carry my weapon, defend myself, possibly take a mugger/murderer off the streets, but lose my minimum wage job.
