Just curious,,,,,,,, why do you still have / carry a drivers license that expired in 2007?

I don't normally carry a expired license. Before my trip I was going through my wallet clearing old crap out, taking out credit cards. (was going to vegas).

Last week some co-workers and I were flying to Vegas out of Bush. Standing in the security line it was my turn to approach the TSA checkpoint. I handed over my Tx DL and boarding pass.

162 days. IFit shows up in the mail this morning!! I can drive to Austin in two hours, hopefully the plastic can make it here in 4 days thru the USPS system. HECK, i bet it takes less than 4 days to WALK to Austin. Then again, who knows when DPS mailed it...

Checking in..

Day 156 today. No issues with paperwork. I called DPS and was told BG checks come back in the order that they were received. This is simply not true .
In any case I’m happy for all the folks finally getting the phantom plastic. I have not written my congressman or senator ...

I checked my status today for the first time in about 5 days. Guess what it said??
Processing Application...... 145 days, 117 days since date of pin letter.

138 days. Harris County.

Days from date on PIN letter = 105
NO Issues with missing paperwork, prints or photos.

Feb. app and still here. 135 days and counting. Waiting on Harris County BG Check.
