Re: Cities improperly posting 30.06 signs?
Grand Prairie Police and Fire headquarters building, at Arkansas and 161, is 30.06 posted.
I sent an email to the city attorney asking them to explain why this was posted; no response.
I was in the building earlier this week and saw the Chief of Police, so I asked him about it. He acknowledged ...

Re: WTT - .40S&W for DFW Area . . .
Have you come up with a count yet? I got lucky last Monday and got 4, 100 round WWB's for $160 with tax at Bass Pro. If you want to sell yours outright, I am just down the road in Grand Prairie. I can always use a few more.

No problem. Going to a .40S&W is the wrong direction. The little .380's are pretty cool.

Any chance you might be interested in trading for the .40 S&W in my ad?

WTT: My Taurus PT-140 .40 S&W for 9mm (DFW)
I just got it back from Taurus for a trigger issues (there's a thread on this). It fires great. Still looks good for an older Milleneum. This was before they added "Pro" on the name. I have a single 10 round mag. It's just that 9mm ammo is so much cheaper than .40 S&W and it's cost prohibitive for ...

Re: My Taurus PT 140 died
It came in. They sent it in a half decent cheap plastic case which was nice. Gun was pristine, clean. I never complained about the shipping. The Tauraus lifetime is for the gun, not the owner. I bought this one used. I figure the $65 was about the same as what a local gunsmith would have charged ...

I registered and lurked over there. It wasn't quite as interesting as this site. Maybe too specific?

Re: The Image of the United States Throughout the World
I have spent a lot of time in Germany in the last year (and a lot more to come). They generally are envious of the US. I was talking to a guy about his need for a "chainsaw license" to cut wood on his own property.

Re: Conceal Carry when going to the Range?
I asked at Bass Pro in grapevine and there was no issue if you had a CHL.
The next time I went in, I checked in with 2 boxes of ammo, but no pistol and headed to the range, no questions asked. I unholstered and reholstered in the range.
I have had a good experience at Bass Pro everytime so far ...
