I am not in a position to spend much money on firearms, so I don't get to visit many shops. I primarily visit GT for my firearm needs. They are always busy, just be prepared for that. But they are always helpful.
Reds pflugerville has a great selection as well, plus an indoor range with gun rental ...

Re: New range in Liberty Hill?
Good to know for future visits. The table issue is is not problem, we backup the SUV and use that. Also, I am from round rock and was not familiar with that shop, I think I have driven by it though, if I am not mistaken.

Re: Texas Drivers License
Interesting. I liked that the old TXDL and the CHL looked different. I constantly spot check my wallet before leaving the house while carrying, going to have to check more thoroughly now. My CHL is already the color of my credit card, I laugh to think if I ever handed it over when trying to purchase ...

Re: Speeding Ticket :(
I have had my CHL since may and have not been pulled over, yet. I am terrified that the officer will react in the opposite way. Although getting the ticket stinks, at least the CHL interaction went went fine.

thanks for posting that target G26ster, I keep meaning to save it/print it out but never do and lose track of the post.
OP, let us know how the class went. I have been interested in taking a class there.

Re: New range in Liberty Hill?
Been out there a handful of times and enjoy it very much. Only a pistol shooter, so I have only been to the pistol bays but I understand the rifle and shotgun (skeep/trap) ranges are nice. My only other experience with "tactical bays" is visiting PSC in Friendswood with a friend who is a CHL ...

Re: New Glock .40 S&W owner
Kick back? Known Bad? I dunno.
I have a glock 23 gen3 and have run quite a few different brands of factory ammo and no problems. I typically get the Lawman ammo at GT, speer makes it and I think we typically get 165 grain.
I have shot reloads as well and had no problems.
edit. Wow, I am late on ...

I'm thinking of heading out there. I have never been to any range day type event and would like to go check it out.

I was in the same boat, I even checked the posters name to make sure this wasn't a thread I started. :smilelol5:
I took just over 2 weeks for my pin number and I was going crazy on day 3. Now im stuck on processing application, that is a bit better but not by much. I had a post and someone mailed ...
