Re: AIWB help please
I use a Raven Concealment System Eidolon. It's pricey but is imminently adjustable, very comfortable and conceals well on me (6'2", 215 lbs, 37" waist).

Re: Carry options for wife- Need opinions
I'm familiar with the following:
Slim, Single Stack
heavy (31 oz loaded) and pricey: Kimber Ultra Aegis (9mm 1911) or Springfield EMP; low recoil, low capacity, medium weight (25 oz loaded) and price: Walther PPS
Chunky, double stack, medium weight (26 oz loaded) and price: Glock 26

Re: Pictures Of Your Daily Carry
Mr Pincus should tell that to the scores if not hundreds of thousands if U.S. soldiers who carried M1911s in battle.
Regarding the "baby" 1911s, I believe his comments are based on old info.

Re: 2nd time shooting my Kimber - Bummed
I currently have 3 ultra sized Kimbers (3" barrels) and all are reliable. I have had the larger Kimbers, too as well as Sig M1911s (still have 1), Colt (still have one), Springfield (still have 1) and Dan Wesson (still have 1). What I have found is that the common denominator for problems is the ...

NM Ends Reciprocity with Most States

FYI - I contacted NM DPS to confirm and unfortunately, it is true. What perplexes me is that TX CHL requirements seem NOT to differ substantially from NM's. We need to get our legislators involved. It might also help if we flood Gov. Martinez and Gov. Perry with ...

My opinion...
If they are interested and can comfortably shoot a pellet/BB gun, it's time to introduce them to the Cricket.

Re: NEW: Springfield XDS Single Stack .45ACP Micro
Not to bash a new gun (after all, any new gun is usually a good thing...that diversity thing) but officer sized M1911s already offer a slim, very concealable .45 (or .40. 38 Super and 9mm) with 7+1 capacity (or 8+1 in 9mm). That aside, the new XD is a nice looking gun and I am sure that it will be ...

Re: NRA: Sticker - Do you use it?
I don't put stickers on my car lest the resale value be affected by the sticker or residue. I also prefer to be incognito. I do have a few pro 2A magnets inside my jeep.

Re: Thinking of getting my first 1911
If you shop around you can get Sig 1911's, Kimber Custom II's, Para Ord and other U.S. made M1911's in your price range. The Ruger seems to be a good bet as all of the reviews (pro and user) that I have read are favorable. They have been selling in the El Paso area for 700-750 out the door.

Badbubba,
How do you carry and with what holster? I have the same gun (part of the 2fer) and am looking for a great tuckable, appendix carry rig.

Re: Kimber 1911
I've owned four Kimbers; 3 subcompact or Ultra models and one full sized. All were reliable and accurate from day one. I did have some issues with the factory mag that came with my 9mm Ultra sized Aegis (9mm 1911) but resolved it with Kimber Tac-Pro mags and Wilson Combat mags. All of the .45ACPs ...
