Re: CHL May Wait Times
I submitted mine on almost the same day, I called after 60 days and they supposedly never got my forms I submitted online. Just got mine Saturday roughly 100 days.

Re: Texas.gov online status check
It's my fault, but I had no idea the "waiting for required materials" status before disappearing was true vs not being updated. I sent another email asking for a relative time frame so I'll see if they get back to me.
Hopefully the new site updates won't allow this to happen to anyone else ...

Re: Texas.gov online status check
So I called DPS today and they told me they never received my email attatchments. Resubmitted them directly to someone so hopefully it won't be delayed too much. I'm at 60+ days from originally submitting them.

Re: Texas.gov online status check
The last update I saw was "waiting for required materials" which is frustrating because it makes it seem like you made a mistake and they have incomplete packets.

Re: Is Prodefense Closed Down Permanently?
Years ago I bought my first gun there, a Glock 23. That was when they were next to the old Academy location. When they moved I bought a HK USP/C .40. Since then their customer service was horrible to say the least. They did however do gunsmithing on my AR15 for a very good price. They did ignore ...

Re: Range report: Best Shot
Do they allow shotguns at all? I'm going there tomorrow for the first time since the remodel and would like to bring my more than just my pistol.

Re: Houston shotgun range
Marksman Indoor Range in South Houston allows shotguns as long as you dont shoot slugs or any steel shot. Distance isn't very far, and if you go I recommend not shootingtoo quickly as you will fill the place with smoke. I have left there twice with a nasty sulfur taste in my lungs.

Re: The Arms Room, League City
Ouch those membership fees are out of my league also. I'll stop being cheap and get a PSC membership since I work within walking distance from there although the arms room is closer to home.

Re: Range Report - Marksman, Houston...aka The Bersa returns
Do you know what caliber the AK pistol was? I'd be scared if it was a rifle round. I've been hit by a ricochet once there already and witnessed a young boy get hit also.
Otherwise a great range and very nice people working there, but it sucks paying an ER bill.
