Re: Finally got to go shoot my new Mossberg MVP Patrol
I like my MVP varmint, but I don't trust the "flapper" at the bottom of the bolt to hold up to much abuse. I run my magazine about halfway full to take some of the stress off that part.

Re: lifting up an AR-15.
How is the height? Looks like a 6-9" would perhaps put you into a more natural shooting position. Although it could be just perfect for how you shoot i.e. downhill prone or shorter shooting benches.

Re: Houston/Galveston Group Powder Buy-Ordered
Fed Ex tracking says the shipment should be here Thursday. I have an exam Friday morning, and then I am headed towards Houston to meet a friend. I could meet anyone who wants to that afternoon.

My wife's parents live less than a mile from this intersection. I will inquire if they heard any of the specifics.

Re: Keep Calm...harmless laser etching :)
I have a pistol slide that I would like laser engraved with my late brother's rank and name. How much would you charge? I know I could probably find services closer, but I figure I could throw some business your way in the process.

Leupold VX-I 3-9x40 WTS
I acquired this scope in a deal recently and do not have a gun to put with it. It is 98% perfect, not even any noticeable ring marks on it. I will have pictures up shortly.

WTS/WTT Bersa Thunder .380
Saying goodbye to a great gun that just doesn't get enough use.
.380 Duo tone, shiny aluminum frame with blued slide. It currently wears a rubber wrap-around grip made by Bersa, but I will include the original grip as well. It has fewer then 300 rounds down the barrel and has not been carried much ...

Re: It's called Operation Troll The NSA.
I had this same idea the other day, but after further thought I decided against starting this. I don't want to make it harder for them to distinguish a terrorist by increasing the noise to signal ratio, I want them to just plain stop listening unless they really have to. If you want to do this as ...

Re: Houston/Galveston Group Powder Buy-Ordered
I will keep the order as it stands right now, I think. I am already absorbing any difference in shipping and hazmat with the removal of my varget powder, but I can call them tomorrow and inquire if they have any idea when things will be moving along. I do apologize for my misguided optimism at the ...

Humble PD
My phone was stolen on Saturday and I had to file a report with Humble PD. They actually arrived within 12 minutes, which surprised me for the nature of the call. The officer asked me for ID and I gave him my DL and told him "I need to give you this as well" as I started handing him my CHL. He said ...
