Don't forget a good civil lawyer. Is it possible/probable that you would not use the criminal lawyer for the civil suit? ie, no charges filed, but you get sued by BG or BG's relatives.

Glad you decided to make your own opinion. Come on out and shoot IDPA with us on a Wednesday night. Get there about 6:00pm to sign up and we start shooting at 6:30. We have lights in 3 of the 4 pistol bays and run 6 COFs a night.
Question: with reguard to carrying a "club" in your car...with or without a CHL, 46.02.b.3 seems to imply to me that if you are "travelling" it is OK. But I could not find anything that defines "travelling". If one is driving their car, they are travelling, aren't they?
