AEA, That's exactly the point I was making!
The CBC (congressional black caucus) are the race baiters that keep spinning the "man is holding me down" lie to us in the A.A. Community. That's what makes me sometimes ashamed of my race. It's the Bill Cosbys, Condi Rices, Allen Wests and Herman Cains that convince me that there is hope.[/quote]
Don't feel too bad, I have the same feeling about my race every time I see commercials for Honey booboo or jersey shore or the housewives of whatever... it makes me feel bad for society as a whole. I am shocked by what is regarded as "good entertainment"...If you've never seen God Bless America, I suggest you watch that, I'm starting to feel a little like Frank, only more sane... I realize I'm going off topic, but I believe the reason people have become so disconnected with reality is because of what they take in on television, if you hear something enough, you get desensitized. I think the left uses this to draw people in and distort their views....but I may be giving them too much credit. Anyway, enough of that back on topic, what did big o screw up today?

RightWASHINGTON - A dozen female members of the House staunchly defended U.N. ambassador Susan Rice against Republican criticism over her remarks on the deadly Sept. 11 Libya attack, suggesting the GOP lawmakers' comments were racist and sexist.
"It is a shame that anytime something goes wrong, they pick on women and minorities," Rep. Marcia Fudge, D-Ohio, the next chairwoman of the Congressional Black Caucus, told reporters Friday at a Capitol Hill news conference.
I disagree, I believe it is the people that lack the intelligence to realize this is NOT racist, the same people that grow up being fed the lies of the lack of equality and social injustices perpetrated by the evil white republicans...it is these people that keep ignorance and racism alive, as well as the ones who use this to their gain, monetarily, politically and socially. ie. Jessie Jackass, I mean Jackson, Quanell #10 or whatever he goes by these days... the Rearend Al Sharkton and the like. These people sell fear and lies and accuse everyone else of doing it. It is funny how Alan West, and Herman Cain speak the complete opposite of the others and they seem to go mostly ignored...Guess lies are easier to believe.
( And yes, 3 out of the five names are intentionally misspelled out of lack of respect for them...the other 2 names, I highly admire and hope to see them continue to be in the news, and continue to educate people.)

Re: Today in Obama's new term as President
It would be interesting to keep this thread going, day by day for the duration of his term. If for nothing else other than future reference. I remember after his first election, the scenes of all the people crying and laughing and applauding....it reminded me of a scene from one of the more recent Star Wars films when the emperor took control of the federation. The princess saw all the people applauding, and she said" so this is how liberty dies, with thunderous applause"

Re: Today in Obama's new term as President
I'm really glad the pres had time to swat his little white balls around as he congratulated himself on another successful election, in the mean time there are no other major problems he could be attending to???philip964 wrote:Day Four: Pretty slow Saturday, the president played his 105 round of golf as president today. http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/oba ... 62260.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Fully understandable as he hadn't played since his birthday and after all we all treat ourselves after doing good.
In other news: It was reported last night on Fox News that Romney received less Mormon votes than McCain did in 2008.
A friend on facebook posted that her husband performed surgery on a two year old who was shot yesterday in Kansas City. She called for more restrictions on the sale of guns. News reports said that a gang member on foot shot ten times into at a house, striking the little boy in the back as he watched TV.
More restrictions on guns will do it...yea I think so, because that has worked so well everywhere else in the world. Typical of most people wanting to treat the symptom and not the cause. I'm curious as to why she didn't call for less gang members. Sure that would sound as absurd to her, as her comment about guns does to me. I normally like to consider myself borderline intelligent, in that I can tie my shoes, and hold a job...But for the life of me some peoples mentality confuses me.
