A tangent: if his sister-in-law took the gun out of his car and put it in a dumpster, isn't she guilty of a) stealing the gun, and b) leaving it unsecured against a child find it, which I think is against the law in Delaware?
Not going to hold my breath that any of them will face any charges.

I doubt she would be charged with theft unless the owner of the gun (Hunter) decided to press charges.ELB wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2020 1:41 pm A tangent: if his sister-in-law took the gun out of his car and put it in a dumpster, isn't she guilty of a) stealing the gun, and b) leaving it unsecured against a child find it, which I think is against the law in Delaware?

I think there would be a better case on leaving it unsecured, especially in a state like Delaware.

You would think a state that seriously thinks gun control is for controlling gun crime would prosecute any theft of a handgun... but then, there you go.Soccerdad1995 wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2020 3:02 pmI doubt she would be charged with theft unless the owner of the gun (Hunter) decided to press charges.ELB wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2020 1:41 pm A tangent: if his sister-in-law took the gun out of his car and put it in a dumpster, isn't she guilty of a) stealing the gun, and b) leaving it unsecured against a child find it, which I think is against the law in Delaware?
