I was curious as to how long, on average, it takes before you get a pin number to track the status of processing.
It has only been 20 days since I sent off all of my information, but I am anxious to get my pin # so I can at least check up on it from time to time.[/b]

Based off what I've read in this forum the average is around 1 month after they receive your application (I did the online app so I got my pin insantly). Once you get it, you will get accustomed to the phrase "Processing Application."

It took my application 6 weeks, once they signed for the packet for me to get my PIN number. They tell me that I have to wait another 60 days now... CHL Dept. (according to them) are backlogged over 30 days (behind) on new CHL applications...

My application was received (certified mail) on March 7. I got my PIN today (48 days) by email after I asked about it on Friday. At least I am "processing"

Thanks for the info. I was getting kinda of restless, thinking my pin # would be here within a couple of weeks. Maybe I will be getting my license close to my birthday since they are still backed up....(Oct. is my brthday.....) but that would be a good present.
