CO: The scum of the earth

Denver, Sunday-Monday -- A three-year-old boy was brought to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg and is reportedly in serious condition.

His parents initially stated that the boy was shot by an unknown assailant. They are now under arrest for suspicion of child abuse after, police say, the father shot his son in the leg and then lied to investigators about what happened.

The boy's mother was also arrested, on suspicion of being an accessory to child abuse.

Father has hardly ever been convicted of anything serious.
