$1500 isn't too bad I guess. Less than an XCR or a Sig 556.
My posts on this website are worth every cent you paid me for them.

My buddy just told me that Robinson Arms is suing Remington, Magpul, and Bushmaster over some type of design or patent related to the ACR development.

Where did the $1500 price come from? Thefirearmblog says the base model is almost $2500 msrp. I liked your price quote better!gregthehand wrote:$1500 isn't too bad I guess. Less than an XCR or a Sig 556.

I did a Google shopping search for one and that's what came up. It may be more that's just what I saw.RECIT wrote:Where did the $1500 price come from? Thefirearmblog says the base model is almost $2500 msrp. I liked your price quote better!
I like my XCR and think I'll stick with that.

I don't blame you...I'd like one if I owned one also, gregthehand wrote:I did a Google shopping search for one and that's what came up. I don't plan to buy either of them...my next purchase is going to be a Springfield SOCOM.

The Bushmaster website lists the basic rifle at $2685!
Other folks seem to be astonished at the price as well. (Beware - salty language in link.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BB0Pu-rvFjs" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Major let down. Bushmaster really screwed the whole thing up about as much as possible, just like I knew they could. The specs are awful, 1/9 twist, it's too heavy, and the price is insanely high. Double what Magpul wanted. I wish I was surprised but Bushmaster did a similar thing with their go at an AR 308. Fortunately RRA got the rights back and did up the way it should have been. Hopefully Magpul will too at some point.

I own one of the RRA .308 rifles and am glad I do. I would like the own an ACR but for that kind of money I would get FN FS2000 or the Robinson XCR.

To be honest this thing will not sell well until they drop the price, in fact I think the high MSRP is just a marketing ploy. I suspect that the MSRP is set extremely high so that the gun gets a lot of people talking about it and looking for it when it does hit the shelves. When it hits the shelves I am hoping the actual retail price will be much lower.

Re: The Bushmaster ACR: Comming 3/1/2010
Ouch. For that price, I would stick with a piston driven AR.
Re: The Bushmaster ACR: Comming 3/1/2010
Maybe they will see the rebates that Sig is having to offer to move the 556 and get a clue as to what people will pay... well that is until there is talk of another ban.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 most likely already sold a few thousand of these for Bushmaster

Also the ACR is a man stopper on that game. I shoot people all the time with a 3-shot burst from my M-16 or a couple rounds from my FN-FAL and they just keep on trucking. Two shots from an ACR kills you quick though. There is actually a consensus that the ACR in the game is over-powered. I mention when I hear this that Bushmaster is coming out with it on the civi market soon and the game is like a big add campaign.

WARNING!!! THE FOLLOWING YOUTUBE VIDEO IS ABSOLUTELY FULL OF PROFANITY!!!
It is also funnier than a trunk monkey.
Go to youtube.com and search on "Hitler finds out how much the new Bushmaster ACR will cost". I laughed so hard I nearly wet myself.
My favorite line from the video:

It might as well have been made by H&K! (At least then it would have made me look cool.)
