Glocks are extremely simple to change the sights on with the right tools. For what it would cost you to have sights installed on two of them, you could probably buy the tools, install the sights, break even or have money left over, and still have the tools for next time.VMaxer wrote:Can anyone recommend a good gunsmith that's up for installing some sights on a couple of Glocks? I'm in Plano, but don't mind traveling to the other side of the Metroplex if necessary to get someone that will do quality work.
Thanks!
There are multiple tools that would do the trick. Here's one rear sight pusher for the Glock. It's good for adjustments as well as sight changes.
There are a few different types of front sights. Some attach with a tiny screw that needs a specialized socket wrench. Some new ones are the stake on variety, so you'd need to pick up the tool that matches the sights you want to use. Just google "front sight tool" "Glock" to see what's available.
If you want to have someone else do it, there's usually at least one experienced Glock armorer at the larger gun shows (e.g., Dallas Market Hall and Fort Worth Rogers Center) who can do it while you wait.
