Domestic terrorists? Or what?

Here is an article in Time magazine which some may find of interest.

Difficult to read. I can see how some of these groups can be labeled as extremists, however:

http://publicintelligence.net/departmen ... ism-guide/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

"A recent Department of Justice guide for investigators of criminal and extremist groups lists “constitutionalists” and “survivalists” alongside organizations like Al-Qaeda and the Aryan Brotherhood."

It would seem that I’m also listed in these categories as I have a bug out bag, several larger, Go to the cabin in Colorado tubs and I’m a Constitutionalist.

I’ve saved the article and will have to reread it.

I'd say they are man-children acting out their war hero fantasy. It's funny how democratic presidents worry about domestic terrorist and republicans worry about international terrorist. My political memory only goes as far back as Bush Sr.

I don’t mean to correct but I believe it’s the Socialists that worry the most about a revolt.

There are many militia-type groups across the US and the world. Some are benign, and some are something to worry about. Most of them are no threat to the government or the country in general. However, just like any radical movement, there are some that have ulterior motives and could be a threat. There can be radicals in any organization that can go rouge and cause a problem. Just look at the radical anti-abortion people that bomb clinics, or organizations like ELF and such that have been declared as threats.

Bottom line, if they are being publicized in the media, the authorities already have their eyes on them, and in many cases more than likely have insiders or moles that are feeding the proper agencies information if they are felt to be a threat to the government.

I suspect that that is generally the case. The only revolt I could foresee occurring would be a result of financial meltdown (in my mind due to a Socialist administration) or any further edging towards a New World Order under the UN that abridges any of our Constitutional rights (again, due to a Socialist administration).

I can't see any seriously effective revolts occurring under an economically-successful administration of any sort.

Are we talking about shooting Vicki Weaver in the head or assaulting that church in Texas the following year?

Or maybe both. :evil2:

Honest mistake. Both groups spend a lot of time playing dress up and pretending to be soldiers. Or ninjas. Or something. :headscratch

There was no threat until the batfe(can't finish the word) attacked the innocents.
