Howdy!

Age - 54
Gender - Male
Profession - Retired/assisting my bride in her business start up
Marital Status - Happily Married w/4 children
Years CHL - I'm in the October waiting room
TX State House District - 127 U.S. - 2
Carry guns/equipment -
Kimber Eclipse II 1911 w/Galco owb and dual magazine holder
Colt Officers 1991 w/Galco owb and dual magazine holder
Springfield 1911 w/Galco owb and dual magazine holder

I'm a recent transplant from an open carry state, Nevada, and my weapons and carry equipment were fashion oriented. My bride insisted that belts, holsters and holders match. The Springfield was for field use, Kimber in the office or lab, Colt for dress occasions.

Looks like I'll be using a Galco Hidden Agenda for concealed carry.

Found this site and have been lurking for a few days. I am getting all the paperwork together from my poor driving days as a young man. Funny thing is, I called a county clerks office today to find the disposition on a DWLS from 1994. She says, " The computer has it listed as a DWI". Now, I've never even been field sobriety tested much less had a DWI, so I freak out a bit. She puts me on hold, comes back in like 10 minutes and says " It's fixed, the file says DWLS but somebody put it in the computer as DWI". I told her she just about gave me a heart attack and that I was really glad that I had called.

Anyhow, lots of great info on this site, and I appreciate the information available. I will update as the process unfolds.

Hey everyone,

Registered yesterday and have been surfing thru the site and doing a lot of reading. Been on other gun forums for a few years but ran across this one and decided to check it out. Originally had My CHL in 95 when it was first offered, and was one of the unlucky few that was only for two years and when time for renewal I said not another two day course so I let it lapse. However I just recently re-applied and plastic is in the mail and should get in hand in a couple of days.

Age: 57
Gender: male
Profession: design engineer (concrete mixers)
Marital status: 14 years
Years CHL: applied in September/in the mail as of 10/25/10
Reside in: League City
Guns:
Colt officers .45 (carry)
Ruger MK4 .22
Walther PPK 7.65mm WWII with RZM markings
uzi 9mm semi-only
Mossberg 12/Ga. bolt w/clip
1903 S&W 32 revolver

Thanks,

It wasn't hard, I have two wonderful stepdaughters in their 20's that have decided they what to learn to shoot. Their mother is not to happy, but they both live alone and it's time they learn how to protect themselves. I might add they are both great shooters.
