I found out something from my doc awhile back that might help others with chronic joint pain.
I go to a chiropractor/homeopic doctor for most ailments instead of a M.D. Mainly because the M.D. gives me pills that usually don't work and my guy simply heals me.
I asked him what I could do about my hands and knees because sometimes the pain was very acute. Shooting accurately was downright impossible. Plus I didn't want to end up like my dad having to have joints replaced at 55.
He told me that in the vast majority of people with arthritis, it's caused by an undiagnosed food allergy. He then tested me and hey, I'm allergic to wheat! Who knew? Certainly not me.
I cut out or severely reduced my wheat intake and the arthritis is GONE!! I do have a sweet tooth for cakes, cookies and such so it is a struggle but I'm merely confirming his diagnosis every time I imbibe.
I know many forum members suffer from this and it always broke my heart to watch what my dad went through.
If this is you, get checked for food allergies. I would recommend a Dr. of Homiopathy and no, that's probably not how it is spelled but good ones are hard to find. An M.D. Will want to give you a pill or a shot but the only "healing" solution is once the food is discovered, cut it out.
The difference might change your life.

Allergies? interesting thanks.
I don't know if it was perfumes, hair sprays or make up my ex-wife used I might have had an allergy to, but I know when she left, my headaches went away.
But seriously, thanks.

I totally want to back you up on this. I regularly visit my Chiropractor and he is part of a group called Maximized Living. The holistic view of your body and how it heals itself it something I truly believe in. Besides the Alcat test you are probably referring to (which shows food sensitivities not necessarily just allergies), another good test is to work through and see how much other toxins you have through a really simple test where you look to see how good you are at discerning contrasts. They have a little sheet of paper with some different squares on it showing lines in different directions. It seems that people with heavy metals toxins in their brain will have trouble discerning the contrast and seeing the really fine lines and which directions they are going. Most of us have this poisoning because of the Amalgam fillings that were used for many years. If you consider that the Dentist has to treat it as a toxic waste and then you are putting it in your mouth for you to chew with for the next 30 years it seems obvious that we might actually be imbibing some toxins
. One of the key ingredients in those old fillings was/is Mercury. As you heat it and chew on it it releases mercury vapor which eventually ends up in your organs and especially your brain. There are some great cleansing solutions to help remove these toxins and their effects, but they do little good if you still have the source of the toxins putting more back in at the same rate.
I'd love to suggest more folks take a look for a Dr that is part of Maximized Living and work to clean up these toxins as well as having your back checked to see what can be done there. When you start to fix it before your vertebrae and discs have degenerated then you have a good chance to return to health. I have to say that its been a HUGE improvement in my personal health and that of my family to get ourselves under Chiropractic Care.

I go to a chiropractor every two weeks for maintenance. And I have a 90 minute full body massage every week. These have really improved my health as well as a number of vitamins and minerals to keep me from the MDs and their Big Pharma pushed prescription drugs!!phrogg wrote:I have to say that its been a HUGE improvement in my personal health and that of my family to get ourselves under Chiropractic Care.

Re: for those with Arthur-Itis!!
I'll admit that I once thought that the "Homeopathic" and, what I referred to as, "Hippie Medicine" was bogus. But over the past few years, I've learned quite a bit about it and have seen first hand the benefits it has. Something as simple as a tweak to ones diet can make the world of difference. I've become more aware of the garbage we put in to ourselves as we eat, and it's disgusting. Doesn't mean I don't indulge in a fast food burger every now and then, but I'm more aware of it now. I'm working on eliminating soda and candy out of my diet (I love sugar like an alcoholic loves booze) and have basically decided I need to do it now. With my blood pressure being high (195/110 un-medicated), I'd rather learn better eating habits instead of spending money on Licinopril and Norvasc. I'd like to live to see my 32nd birthday...lol

Re: for those with Arthur-Itis!!
The benefits of doing this are huge! Its been 18 years now for me and sugar to be separated. I will only eat things that are very complex carbs...like bread, crackers, etc. No cakes, cookies, etc. If its sweet due to having sugar added, then I avoid it and have for the last 18 years. I do so because I'm actually very hypoglycemic. My metabolism runs so fast that I just chew through sugar and go through all those low blood sugar symptoms within about 30 minutes of having sugar. In order to help stabilize my metabolism I also gave up caffeine about 14 years ago. That took me from needing 8000 calories a day to maintain my weight down to just 3000 now. Its nice being able to manage my weight easily but at the cost of sugar and caffeinepbwalker wrote:I'm working on eliminating soda and candy out of my diet (I love sugar like an alcoholic loves booze) and have basically decided I need to do it now.

The other day I tweeted that it had been 18 years since I'd had a cinnamon roll. My wife figured she could make them with just cinnamon and skip the sugar and the frosting and made me some that week! She's awesome! We'll call her Princess (since she kissed a Phrogg...not that I turned into a prince or anything
