Renewal issue

Post by Seabear »

I had a guy call me that is trying to renew his CHL. He took the class last year and never sent in his paperwork. I directed him to the online process. He did it and it all looked good until the letter he got yesterday. They said he had to take the renewal class AGAIN because his certificate was more than 6 months old. Is this correct???

I have been running chartters so I have not had time to contact DPS. Doesn't seem right to me. :headscratch

Yes, that is correct. Renewal CHL-100s are only good for 6 months.

Thanks for the response. I haven't had a chance to look it up, it just didn't make sense to me when a First Timner's CHL100 is good for longer. Seems a little unfair. :headscratch
