Miniature Schnauzer Rescue: Dog That Needs a Home by 5/2!

Post by Charles L. Cotton »

Here is an email and photos I received from the Miniature Schnauzer Rescue of Houston. I can't express how I feel about the people who adopted this dog, then decided to kill him shortly thereafter.

If you can help, please call Brenda at the number in the email below, and send an email to Sherry@Eitel.com letting her know Mac was saved. If we could take one more dog, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Thanks,
Chas.

Please read Mac's very sad story and help him find his forever home today.

Mac was adopted from a local shelter last week, I am assuming there was a misunderstanding about his age because the adopters having determined he was about 9 years old instead of younger they decided to take him to a vet clinic and asked that he be euthanized.

Mac is relative healthy and the clinic couldn't justify euthanizing him just because he was a "senior" boy.

Only problem is the clinic can only hold on to him until Monday, May 2 and then they will be forced to euthanize unless a home or rescue group can take him.

Unfortunately MSRH cannot take on the responsibility of another senior.

If you would like to have Mac as your perfect family companion please contact the clinic direct at 713-203-6080 or 281-383-3254 and ask for Brenda.

Please see Mac's attached photo ... He has been fully vetted with all vaccinations, is neutered and will have a dental.

Mac ... Salt & pepper ... Male ... Natural Ears ... Docked Tail ... 9 Years ... 14 Pound

Saving one Schnauzer may not change the world but it could change the world for Mac if you make that call.

I wish I could. I just finished a 3 week rescue of a 63# lab/pit bull mix. If I brought another home this soon, I would need the dog house! I will watch this post and test the waters at home.

BTW I have a 5yr old 9# snorkie who looks just like this but with a long tail. These dogs make the best friends you could ask for!

Thanks for helping with rescue dogs Dave. Hopefully someone will take Mac, but if not, he'd make a fine bookend to go with your snorkie! Just show your wife the photos and tell her to think about him being executed Monday. That will do it!

I can't take Mac either (I am covered up in dogs already), but I can help 'fund' the dog until he is placed permanently.... if someone can just take him and find a home for him. His time is running out.

Sorry guys. I got shot down at home. I hope someone else can step up and help Mac. As someone who has saved a few dogs, I can tell you, you usually get back more than you put in.

Thank you for the update. I was feeling rather sad for the distinguished fellow. I wish him great comfort in his new home!
