Good Wife

Post by snatchel »

With our anticipation of my purchase of a snubby for my birthday, and the fact that I pretty much dont know beans about wheel guns--Mrs Snatchel picked me up Combat Handgunnery 6th Ed by Ayoob. Looking forward to reading about it. I will be paying particular attention to those pages concerning revolvers, carrying them, shooting them, etc. Good stuff

I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.

Dunno, I haven't seen it. It's not the movie I was thinking of.

Claymore mines have on one side "This side towards enemy" I always wondered if anyone put it facing the wrong way.

That came from the Viet Nam war. VC would crawl up to the defensive line and turn the claymores toward the defenders. They would then slip back out and when the rush came, defenders were shooting themselves in the face with the Claymores. Thus the embossing on the mines. That said, it is the same color as the rest of the plastic and in low light could be difficult to read.

Yes but it is raised lettering, and there is nothing on the back side.. So you can "feel" the front side in the dark.. We also put a small piece of GLINT tape on "our" side.. less for the sneaky turn around deal the VC did, and more as a way to quickly ID at night in NVG if the darn thing had fallen over.
Companion animal Microchips, quality name brand chips, lifetime registration, Low cost just $10~12, not for profit, most locations we can come to you. We cover eight counties McLennan, Hill, Bell, Coryell, Falls, Bosque, Limestone, Lampasas

Yes :iagree: and that fact that the convex side would face out helped as well. Was easy to setup by feel.

Gotta love Women in Texas!

The Mrs is the same way - without so much as a word she picked up a 1911 manual for me when I picked up my AC Commander. Had not had a 1911 in over 20 years and needed a refresher for take complete break down. I came back from my ffl and the manual was sitting on the table along with a new gun case.
