Hate the waiting game...

Post by Shortys_Misery »

I sent my paperwork in on 12-20-11...Holidays slow the process down tremendously....the package was signed for on 12-27-11 so i waited 1 week to call them...I am a very impatient person when it comes to waiting....but it is what it is...I called and the lady told me NOPE we don't have it sorry...I was like what I SENT all the ORIGINALS like the form states and y'all cant find my stuff...sorry call back in a week...I called back on 1-3-12 and as i was talking to the lady i was checking the status and it was still in the 1st stages..you did your paperwork online still waiting to receive the info....i said y'all told me to call back and you still cant find it and she asks for my DL and as i gave it to her I checked the status again and it was updated to only waiting on background check...well its 1-9-12 and its still showing waiting on background check....i check it like 6 or 7 times a day....does anyone else check it as much as i do...and YES i have a life and a job....lol

If you think that is bad some of us with nfa items waiting for our stamps are looking at 180+ days of wait time.

Yep it's become a reflex just like breathing. I never knew my drivers license number before but now I can type it in my sleep. I know I have nothing on my record. My employer does a deep dive every year and it is more extensive then DPS so I can't imagine why it takes so long. I lived at the same residence for a long period of time and I've worked for the same company for over 10 years. I think its just the luck of the draw on who is assigned to your file. They're government employees so 5 standing around supervising the one that is working.

I thought I was the only one. My wife could not believe that I never learned my license number, she said she had to learn it in Drivers Ed. I never bothered until I started checking the DPS website several times a day. I have had my TX license for 25 years.

I am still waiting on the mail delivery, hopefully today.

I agree this is a great site to read while you are waiting on the updates.

Don't sweat it; I just now got official word+website update that I'm pending manufacturing after 15 weeks, well beyond their cited timeframes, and no, they didn't need additional info from me, either...

There are more of us. I, too, can recite my DL # soley based on frequent checking of my CHL status.

The good news is that this is a one time wait. I'd hate the prospect of going through the same through for renewals.

Well I had slowed down to cking the CHL website to about 5 times a day instead of the 20 or so I was in the beginning...the bad part about it is that I am DEAD serious.....not sure if anyone else does it so many times....LOL.....but to the point...

I was heading to San Antonio for business this morning so I cked it when I was getting ready at about 3:30am and it was still under review...I cked it about 15 minutes ago and there it was...

Manufacturing Pending ...
