Front Sight’s Answer to Aurora, CO Massacre

Post by JJVP »

Ignatius Piazza has offered to pay the legal fees of the first victim to file a very specific lawsuit against the Cinemark Movie Theater chain that denied responsible citizens their right to carry a concealed weapon to defend themselves against the murderous rampage of a deranged killer.

We live in interesting times.
We declare our right on this earth to be a man, to be a human being, to be respected as a human being, to be given the rights of a human being in this society, on this earth, in this day, which we intend to bring into existence by any means necessary.

Hooray!! I've been waiting for this since the for post-CHL "no guns" sign I saw. Shortly after Texas passed concealed carry laws, I noticed the building my company's office was in had a sign at the parking lot entrance forbidding guns. I wondered then (to myself) "So if they remove a person's legal right to self-protection, are they now liable to provide protection"

This will be interesting...

I have a few friends in colorado, so I posted it on my face book page

I am also not normally one of the litigious kind, but agree that this lawsuit would be a good one. It is time for reasonable people to send a message to businesses about the consequences of the choices they make.

Experts: Lawsuits Over Theater Shooting Stand Little Chance
The only obvious civil defendant is the shooter himself, and I doubt that he has anything in the way of assets or insurance," Tom Russell, a professor of law at the University of Denver and a personal injury lawyer, told the Denver Post.

Some parents say it is toy guns that make boys warlike. But give a boy a rubber duck and he will seize its neck like the butt of a pistol and shout "Bang!"......George Will

That's why this guy made the offer; he knows it won't happen and he gets yet more publicity. He was once a master at that.

I'm not a member and have never taken one of their courses. I've heard them described as the McDonald's of shooting schools. Not the best, not the worst, not expensive and you know you'll get some knowledge when you go.

I seem to recall a recent thread with an excellent review of their 4-day course.
