One member to post that he has had a change of heart in his ways of changing the light bulb, and admitting that the other way is in fact superior.

At least 5 members accused of being "efficiency bulb fanboys"

Why try to change it?
We should accept it as it is and show tolerance and acceptance and stuff or whatever.

I'd hate for someone to think I had Photophobia or was a photophobe.

Although the CFL may be more efficient energy-wise than an incandescent Easy-Bake-Oven bulb, it is more toxic to the environment, so I think we need a separate thread for a poll on the type of lightbulb or light bulb needed, personally, I'd go with LED.

You make a valid point in that the OP did not specify the type of bulb being changed. That alters the entire premise of the debate. We'll need to start over.

This is complicated now. We should probably get the government involved. The gov't knows best. They'd use the 1,000 watt halogen ones which burn out sooner, and raise taxes for electric bills and payroll for increasing the number of govt employees needed to replace them. This of course requires new fixtures to be installed too. GE has that new Chinese company so that could help Americans by getting them cheaper and ostensibly saving tax money on the fixtures (while increasing govt costs to taxpayers so we can hire/outsource through gov't contracts to our buddies companies to replace the bulbs and they'll be employed and owe us favors)...

I've been standing in line for two weeks, but soon I'll be one of the first to own an iBulb.

I can't EVEN begin to come up with anything clever enough to match what I've read. Just wanted to say THANK YOU for the enormous laugh at the end of a tough day with middle schoolers! :tiphat:

What about the 6 people to argue about the superior "lighting power" of the 100w ACP compared to the patheticaly anemic 75w +P?

So, what kind of lightbulbs, or is it light bulbs, are we discussing? Incandescent, fluorescent, or HID's? :confused5

Isn't that what kids do, regardless of lightbulbs?

There is a label on the box. It says caution; you have to be brighter than the bulb you’re changing before trying
