Dinosaur valley state park and surrounding area
Planing to go to Dinosaur valley state park this weekend. I know I can carry in the park. Anyone aware of other local attractions around Glen Rose that are off limits? We will be going with kids.

That's a country town. You still see rifle racks in trucks out thur. I doubt there are any places posted.

I gotta suggest that, no matter how inviting, don't let the kiddos go thrashing around in non-flowing water. There are micoscopic squiggly-crawley things in shallow non-flowing water that get into open breaks in the skin that cause bad stuff. Its a fun and educational place with millions of years of history, but it isn't a swimming hole. Too many years with too little rain can turn flowing creeks and rivers into stagnant pools.
