I have had CHL for 2 weeks now. My employer leases space from a city owned building. My employer is silent regarding concealed handgun policy. The city only has administrative folks in their space in the building. There are no courts in the building. There is no 30.06 sign. The city website states that carrying a concealed handgun into ANY city facility is illegal. LEOs are in the building fairly frequently.
How do you more seasoned CHL holders think about this situation? Would you carry or leave your gun in the car?
Would you carry here?

As long as the building is city owned (and not otherwise prohibited - court, etc), it is NOT ILLEGAL and CANNOT BE ILLEGAL to carry concealed in that building, regardless of what city says.
That said, if found out it could cause you some headaches ... unjustified arrest (beat the rap, but not the ride) could lead to issues with your employer (like perhaps adding in new anti-gun language to employee rules, and other employment consequences the nature of which is above my pay grade).
If you're going to carry (and I AM NOT A LAWYER but see no legal reason you cannot), just remember CONCEALED MEANS CONCEALED. Don't talk about, don't fidget with it, be sure it is well concealed (no even a buldge).
Just my $0.02 ...

Concealed means concealed and the law is what the law is despite some ignoramuses blather.

IIRC, SB501??? Took care of this issue that government buildings could not restrict you from carrying in that facility...As long as it is not listed in the provisions in the law itself, like a school building, function, or courtroom etc etc etc...Then you should be ok...
The city leases it, and it is frequented by Law Enforcement??? hmmmmm...Overflow offices??? Is there a substation, or neighborhood "storefront" nearby???
If they do not have security at the door, (i.e. metal detectors, wands) I would say let it go...I would not go exploring their digs if they are separate from your bidness in the same building...
Heck, some would differ with me, but unless it is stipulated as a "no-go" for CHL'ers in the law, then I would not give it too much more thought...I wouldn't even ask anyone associated with that group who uses that part of the building...What they do not know won't cause them heartburn...And not bring attention to you...That's the big thing in my opinion...
I stand to be corrected...
